Hey! I hate to break it to you, but there's a group of people that have been spilling the tea on you!
I hope that I haven't let the cat out of the bag. But I must admit there will always be people talking about you whether good or bad. With the invention of social media such as Instagram and Facebook you can see who's been viewing your stories.
Well, with that being said you have all the power at your fingertips to get that business or dream off the ground. Yes, seriously. I mean why not! Let me tell you a little story of when I first starting writing books.
Back when I was in college, I had a conversation with one of my old dorm mates about my dreams of being an author. I considered this person to be my friend so I thought I'd receive some positive feedback. Instead I heard, "Why would you want to do that? You're a nobody, no one is going to ever read your books!" YIKES! Talk about discouraging! Luckily for me, I didn't listen. My love for writing outweighed her criticism. I say that to say, because of that I use to be afraid to really get out there. When you listen to what other people say, you're doing a disservice to yourself.
It really is a bummer when the people that you think will be supportive of you are pretty much crapping on your dreams. But you can't let their self-limiting beliefs derail you. Don't be afraid to market and promote your dreams simply because they are not on board with it. Truly, it is their loss.
I want to see you thrive and prosper with greatness. Life is too short to live in other people's shadows. Not everyone will be in your corner whether it be family or friends. We all know that strangers will be our biggest supporters anyway.
So, get out there and make it happen! I believe in you. I hope you do too!
